The project proposes a new vision of the Quarries, from landscape wounds to development catalysts. It is a prototype for the redevelopment of the inland areas of the country, starting from Vallo di Diano in the Salerno area. The result of a detailed cartographic and photographic census of the approximately 70 abandoned, disused, abusive or still operating quarries located in the 15 municipalities belonging to the Vallo di Diano Mountain Community, it allows to launch a strategic plan aimed at creating a new green economy. The project develops for the first time the upgradign opportunities offered by the incentives of the Regional Plan of Mining Activities in order to favor not only the landscape recovery but also the opportunity for economic, social and entrepreneurial redemption of a territory with many unexpressed potentialities.
