Graduated with honors in “Tourism for Cultural Heritage” and “Public and Corporate Communication”, he is a freelance journalist.

He was honoured with the title of the Order “Al Merito della Repubblica Italiana” in 2006 of Cavaliere, in 2009 of Ufficiale, in 2014 of Commendatore and in 2018 of Grande Ufficiale.

In 2010 on the occasion of BIT he received at Hotel Principe di Savoia of Milano the Premio Excellent, the prestigious award for operators of the tourism industry.

He began his career as logistic manager of the Organizing Committee of Italy ’90, headquarter of Naples, in occasion of the Football World Cup.

In 1991 he founded Leader, company of which he is administrator.

From 1996 to 1998 he has been National Vice President of PCO ITALIA (Italian Association of Companies of Congress Organization) and Regional Counselor of FERPI (Italian Federation of Public Relations).

From 1999 to 2005 he has been Member of the Executive Board of Assindustria (Association of Industrials of the province of Salerno), in 2001 he instituted the Tourism and Hotels Group, of which he was first President until 2005.

From 1999 to 2003 Vice President of Tourism Regional Group of Confindustria Campania.

From 2004 to 2008 member of the Committee of the Faculty of Languages of the University of Salerno in charge of starting degree courses and master degrees.

From 2007 to 2012 Member and from 2013 to 2015 permanent invitee of the National Board of Federturismo Confindustria.

From 2013 to 2015 is Member of the Technical Commission for Tourism and of the Working Group “Turismo, Agroalimentare, ExpoGen” under the Special Project Milan Expo 2015 of Confindustria.

Founder and Managing Director:

– of the Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism (25 editions), only event in the world dedicated to archaeological tourism;

– of FareTurismo (22 editions, of which 10 in Rome, 1 in Milan, 11 in Salerno), only national event dedicated to formation, work and tourism policies;

– of HospitalitySud (4 editions, of which the first one in Salerno and the other ones in Naples) the only appointment of South Italy for the professionals of Ho.Re.Ca. world;

– of Biovallo, innovative strategic plan to create a new green economy through the sustainable development of the cultural tourism industry;

– of National and International Horse Shows, 25 from 1991 to 2011 between Paestum, Salerno, Capri, Reggia di Caserta and Certosa di Padula.

In 2005 he manages the external relations with media for Italy for Team Alinghi during the presentation of the 2007 America’s Cup in Valencia.

Protagonist of greats events:

two visits of the Holy Father, six visits of the President of the Republic, one G8 of the Ministers for Research, 11th and 18th World Convention of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, ten editions of Cartoons on the Bay the International Festival of TV Animation, the 26th National Congress of Magistrates, from 1999 to 2008 of the Capri Convention of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria, in 2009 and 2010 of the Journalistic Award of RAIUno “Amalfi Coast Media Award”.

In 2006 he establishes the Salerno Convention Bureau, of which has been Managing Director and now President.

In 2009 he is founding member of SISTUR (Italian Society of Tourism Sciences) of which has been Secretary-General until 2012 and Responsible for External Relations from 2013 to date.

Member of the Ministerial Committee for the Rationalization of Tourism Formation and the Promotion of Hospitality Culture on appointment of the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers hon. Mrs Brambilla on March 26, 2009, until September 2011.

Member of the Group of Experts at Miur for the identification of touristic profiles in technical-professional formation as a result of the reorganization of Technical and Professional Institutes and the creation of Superior Technical Institutes since December 2012, on appointment of the Undersecretary for Instruction prof. Mrs Ugolini on November 28, 2012.

Coordinator of the Parliamentary Observatory for Tourism from April 2014 to date.
